IUEA Is Set To Celebrate The 8th Graduation Ceremony.

IUEA 8th Ceremony Finalists Funday

It is evident that since the beginning of this year, many Universities within and outside the country have awarded their students upon distinct achievements. As we draw closer to the festive season, the 11-year-old International University of East Africa(IUEA) is just counting down days along with its students, staff, guardians, host community and all well-wishers ahead of the exciting long awaited 8th graduation celebration.

The legendary “CLASS OF 2021” stormed the university premises and host community streets of Kansanga ahead of 8th Graduation Ceremony for their special “Finalist Funday” which was spiced by custom made white t-shirts. They rocked Kansanga street with a parade, jubilations and a hit song titled IUEA.

Before the day ended, the once plain white t-shirts were filled with signatures of classmates, friends, family and well-wishers. Each one of them was seen struggling to get their t-shirts signed and slay in front of the cameras.

Students filled white t-shirts with signatures

“I am grateful to God I made it, I thank my lecturers and classmates for all their support throughout my studies…I can’t wait to graduate.”

A female finalist, Chancele from DRC told us during an interview.

Unlike the predominant use of black gowns across the world, IUEA exploits a rare maroon silk gown accompanied by adorable white stripes and pure maroon Caps and Just like any other gown, the hood colors are designed to represent a particular group of students. The blue liner hoods represent Faculty of Engineering graduates, yellow for Faculty of Business, silver for Faculty of Science and Technology and purple for Faculty of Law. Well, where do you belong? Let us now in the comment section below.

The very first graduation ceremony took place on December 10th 2014 inside the IUEA auditorium which is ranked as the largest in Uganda with a capacity of over 1600 seats. A total of 266 graduates, some staff members and guests filled the giant auditorium that year.

Now in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic and terrorist attacks in the country, IUEA is set for yet another memorable and historical celebration both online and on campus [attendance by invite only with all SOPs and maximum security observed]. No bags will be allowed inside the university premises as IUEA crowns over 800 in CLASS OF 2021 queens and kings on Thursday 25th November 2021. We just can’t wait!!
