The ceremony took place on Thursday 16th December at Golf Course Hotel under the theme: “Innovation and Productivity: The Place of Quality in a Time of Sustainable Change.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honourable State Minister of Trade Harriet Ntabazi presented the brand quality awards to over 100 companies within the East African Community, IUEA among institutions, praising them for their excellent product quality and service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She honoured the IUEA team, including Vice-Chancellor Prof. Emeka Akaezuwa, Quality Assurance Manager Mr Akasa Omar, and University Chairman Amb. Moses Kiwe Sebunya, the award for the best private university in East Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Emeka identified the link between universities and businesses, emphasizing how universities may assist in the growth of a business or company. He cited the thousands of graduates succeeding in the workforce, one of which is Canary Mugume, a popular media personality at NBS TV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
