{"id":1498,"date":"2022-03-02T16:27:04","date_gmt":"2022-03-02T13:27:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iuea.ac.ug\/Blog\/?p=1498"},"modified":"2022-03-02T16:51:25","modified_gmt":"2022-03-02T13:51:25","slug":"kyaddala-season-2-to-feature-iuea-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iuea.ac.ug\/blog\/kyaddala-season-2-to-feature-iuea-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Kyaddala Season 2 to feature IUEA students"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>It is a typical portrait of what most young Ugandans go through while growing up, not forgetting unintended events, such as sexual abuse, early pregnancies, drugs, student-teacher relationships, and living with HIV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the producers, Reach a Hand Uganda, the overall goal of Kyaddala, which translates from Luganda as &#8220;It&#8217;s Real,&#8221; is to communicate information about Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) through a series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/iuea.ac.ug\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Kyadala-Season-2-Pics-5.png\" alt=\"Mr. Humphrey Nabimanya\" class=\"wp-image-1504\" width=\"446\" height=\"621\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iuea.ac.ug\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Kyadala-Season-2-Pics-5.png 685w, https:\/\/iuea.ac.ug\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Kyadala-Season-2-Pics-5-216x300.png 216w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 446px) 100vw, 446px\" \/><figcaption><em>Reach a hand Uganda and Executive producer of Kyaddala Season 2, Mr. Humphrey Nabimanya speaking at the event<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Humphrey Nabimanya, the executive producer of Kyaddala and the founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/reachahand.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Reach a Hand Uganda<\/a>, believes that young people love entertainment and that the best way to speak to them is to use a common language that they will be able to understand, which is music, dance, and drama.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the premiere event of the first episode at Mestil Hotel on Thursday 24th February, Humphrey Nabimanya extended his appreciation on behalf of Reach a Hand Uganda to everyone who contributed to the filming success in their various capacities, through awards.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;We couldn&#8217;t have finished filming Kyadala season two without the help of our partners&#8221; <\/p><cite>&#8211; <em><strong>Humphrey Nabimanya<\/strong> said<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the partners who received this award was the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/iuea.ac.ug\">International University of East Africa (IUEA)<\/a><\/strong>. For the entire duration of the shoot, IUEA provided accommodation to the cast and crew. Over 40 students from IUEA also volunteered to participate in the narrative.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kyaddala Season 2 will be aired on NBS TV, Netflix, Sauti Plus, and all Reach a Hand platforms beginning 4th March 2022.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, some IUEA students were spotted rocking the red carpet event which was held at Illusion Kampala.
