IUEA has a Solution."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Finding engineering jobs in Uganda is becoming increasingly difficult for fresh graduates. Experts say the biggest challenge is a lack of practical skills, leaving many engineering graduates unprepared for the job market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the International University of East Africa (IUEA), we are solving this problem head-on. With a mission <em>&#8220;to provide an excellent education that includes practical skills,&#8221;<\/em> we have created an academic experience designed to bridge the gap between education and employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s Stopping Graduates from Getting Engineering Jobs in Uganda?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In short\u2014lack of practical skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>Universities provide the science, but graduates lack the practical skills needed to create value.<\/em><br>&#8211; <em>Said Eng. Mpuuga Henry, Vice President for Membership, Education, and Training at UIPE<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/nilepost.co.ug\/news\/234235\/experts-call-for-practical-innovation-to-bridge-engineering-skills-gap?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an article published by NilePost<\/a>, experts from both academia and industry stress that engineering courses in Uganda have been too focused on theory. The result?
