Many aspiring engineers wonder if their academic knowledge will hold up once they enter the workforce. At the International University of East Africa (IUEA), we put theories to the test with real-world applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Academia-Industry Partnership (AIP) &#8211; Faculty of Engineering Public Lecture Series is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry demands, ensuring our engineering students graduate with practical skills that make them highly employable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is the Academia-Industry Partnership (AIP) &#8211; FOE Public Lecture Series?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This ongoing lecture series connects IUEA students with industry professionals, giving them direct exposure to the latest advancements, practical applications, and real-world challenges in engineering. Usman Nasir Shehu, a registered Nigerian engineer with extensive experience in the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For two hours, students discovered how professionals bridge the gap between theory and practice. Industry leaders, including <a href=\"https:\/\/iuea.ac.ug\/blog\/searching-for-engineering-jobs-in-uganda\/\">officials from the Uganda Institute of Professional Engineers (UIPE), have emphasised that many graduates lack hands-on experience<\/a>, making it difficult for them to secure or retain jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At IUEA, we take a different approach. We ensure that our students graduate with both knowledge and the ability to apply it in real-world settings.
