Recently, our students engaged in two interactive sessions led by industry experts\u2014one focused on Directional Drilling, a crucial technique in petroleum engineering, and another on Renewable Energy & Sustainability, exploring how engineering solutions can create a more sustainable future. These discussions not only enhanced students\u2019 technical knowledge but also empowered them with problem-solving skills that apply to both their careers and everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On February 22nd and 23rd, our petroleum engineering students engaged in an in-depth webinar on Directional Drilling, hosted by Dr Mutwakil Nafi and featuring Dr Nabil Sameh as the guest speaker. This interactive session provided students with a deep understanding of one of the most crucial techniques in the oil and gas industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It might seem logical that drilling should always be done straight down, but the reality is far more complex. Directional drilling involves precisely controlling the trajectory of a wellbore to reach underground reserves that might otherwise be inaccessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
