Kano youth creates a Nigerian base search engine
A Nigerian base schools search engine with multiple services has been launched in Kano State. Created by 35-year-old Jafar Mohammad Giginyu who was one of the beneficiaries of the Kano State student’s sponsorship scheme during Governor Kwankwaso’s regime. According to the graduate of Information Technology from International University of East Africa Uganda, Jafar said the search engine renders multiple services.
He added that the search engine is also an online learning platform which has an integrated set of interactive online services that provide trainers, learners information, tools and resources to support and enhance educational delivery and management in Nigeria. Highlighting some functions of the new search engine, Jafar said, it allows the user to type a location name and the schools registered in the area will be displayed. He further explained that, if a user type is a specific school’s name, the search engine will display the full details of that school, containing free website and email registration for schools as every registered school has the opportunity to get a free website and email.
“With this service, admission for schools can be accessed. It also provides grading systems to school which will be customized according to schools specification,” he said.
It was also gathered that the new search engine would provide the platform that can enable schools and students to make online payments of school fees, tuition fees and other relevant fees.
