Support and Welfare
The welfare of our students is a top priority here at the International University of East Africa. The student Guild and the Student Services office operate on an open-door policy, whereby students can confidently seek help with any academic or welfare issues, advice on student housing, appealing for academic results, or information on finance and employment.
The University has five hostels of residence. Three are for male students, one is for female students and one for both male and female students. In total the hostels host a population of about 395 resident undergraduates (students registered to the University).
The rest of the students reside outside of campus in private hostels or commute from homes. Falcon-Estates Department & the Dean of Student Department, with assistance from wardens, are responsible for maintaining the university hostels. The Dean of Students Department with the assistance of the wardens ensures that appropriate accommodation and other services are provided to students in accordance with their prevailing budgets. Both Private and Government students are accommodated through this department.
