After a year in lockdown, due to coronavirus sending all learning institutions to close, the president of Uganda, his excellency Yoweri k. Museveni directed all universities’ resumes on the 1st of March.

The Electoral Commission has also resumed operations to conduct a free and fair election for students who would like to vote for the coming Students’ Guild Leadership.

Since coronavirus has brought changes to almost everything, the guild campaign will be conducted both on-campus and online. Therefore, allowing students who study online to get to know and choose wisely the people who will be leading them.

After a recommendation from the University Council, the Electoral Commission has decided to survey everybody. A decision on how the elections should be conducted this year, either online or on-campus.

Voters

  • Only registered students shall be given eligibility to vote.
  • He/She should have paid 50% of their tuition fees.

The Electoral Commission Member:

  • The president
  • The vice-president
  • The secretary
  • The finance officer
  • The communication office and other commissioners
