Adekunle Gold arrived in Kampala earlier this morning. He later proceeded to IUEA for a press conference and a “meet and greet” with the IUEA students.
IUEA Vice Chancellor, and students, welcomed the famous Nigerian star with a warm heart and gratitude.
“We are delighted to host you here today; welcome to Uganda!”
– Prof. Emeka said.
IUEA is among the official sponsors of this year’s “futuristic” club dome event.
While addressing the press, Adekunle Gold called on the students to be resilient and believe in God if they want to succeed in life, not forgetting that “hard work pays.” He went on to promise a massive show at Lugogo Cricket Oval tomorrow.
“Finally, I’m here. Tomorrow is going to be a race. It’s going to be the best show you have ever seen.”
– He promised.
Additionally, Adekunle Gold urged Ugandans to support their artists since that is the only way African music can advance.
Before Adekunle Gold left, he was able to plant for the IUEA students a mango tree, which was immediately baptised by one of the students as “AG Mango”
Adekunle Gold will be performing for the very first time in Uganda at the 2022 Club Dome alongside South Africa’s Costa Titch, who arrived in Uganda yesterday.
Other top Ugandan artists set to share the stage with him include Sheebah Karungi, John Blaq, Vinka, Daddy Andre, Kataleya and Kandle, Dimitri, and Bella.
