The Bachelor of Human Resource Management of the Faculty of Business and Management at the International University of East Africa prepares students to manage employees in all types of organizations. It is oriented towards producing students who will be able to apply human resource management functions to a work based environment and exhibit a higher level of professionalism in tackling human resource issues towards organisational performance, efficiently and effectively. The emphasis of this course is on the ability of the graduates to acquire knowledge, skills and competencies to enable them survive in the business environment with little or no difficulty. Further to that students will appreciate Human capital as the most important asset of many firms. The programme enables students to apply key concepts and techniques that managers need to know in order to best attract, retain and develop skilled personnel, based on current practice and theory in Human Resources Management. Legal and ethical considerations in human resource management are also emphasized.
Attending the Faculty of Business and Management qualifies one for an array of leadership positions and other advanced roles in private, public and nonprofit organizations. You’ll have the option to work across industries as a business analyst, human resources generalist, operations manager or marketing specialist. Some business administration graduates also venture into entrepreneurship, creating their own successful businesses from the ground up.
