The Faculty of Business and Management (FBM) of the International University of East Africa offers a two-year diploma programme leading to the award of a Diploma in Business Administration (DBA). Graduates of the two-year Business Administration diploma program have the skills and knowledge required to be effective managers in a demanding and changing workplace. Our graduates have achieved an excellent reputation based on professional performance and positive attitude. The first year of the diploma program provides a solid foundation in general business knowledge with courses in accounting, finance, communications, marketing, computing, and organisational behaviour. The second year offers the opportunity to concentrate on a particular area of specialisation.
The Diploma in Business Administration program is designed to educate students and help them understand the theoretical and practical framework and the perspective of business management. Students will be exposed to a range of management skills that are useful to succeed in the current business environment.
Attending the Faculty of Business and Management qualifies one for an array of leadership positions and other advanced roles in private, public and nonprofit organizations. You’ll have the option to work across industries as a business analyst, human resources generalist, operations manager or marketing specialist. Some business administration graduates also venture into entrepreneurship, creating their own successful businesses from the ground up.
