About
Dr Sylvia Rita Atoko is an Academician, an Administrator and a Training & Research consultant in the area of Human Resource Management. She is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management and lectures Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour course at the International University of East Africa, She has over twenty (20) years of working experience in both Administration and Academic fields at various Universities in Eastern and Southern Africa. She has vast experience working with different nationalities and diverse cultural backgrounds in academia. Previously, she worked in different administrative positions at various Universities in Eastern and Southern Africa. She was the Head of the Human Resource Management Department, School of Business at the University of Lusaka, Zambia for five years, where she Lectured Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour courses in the same department. She also coordinated the PhD programme at the University of Lusaka, Zambia for one year. She worked as Acting Registrar, Assistant Registrar and Lecturer at the Zambia Catholic University for two years. She also worked as an administrative assistant in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (Nairobi, Kenya) for 12 years.
