The International University of East Africa (IUEA) proudly unveiled an exceptional student literary innovation, “A Chance to Man”, on November 28, 2024. This remarkable compilation of poetry, authored by one of our outstanding graduates, Constantin Kagu, was launched during the 2024 graduation ceremony graced by our esteemed Chancellor. This literary achievement is not just a celebration of Mr. Kagu’s talent but a testament to IUEA’s commitment to nurturing creativity and innovation.

What is “A Chance to Man”

A Chance to Man is not merely a collection of poems, it is a profound journey through life, encapsulated in 100 poetic pieces. The book is divided into three sections that chart a transformative voyage:

Who is Constantin Kagu?

Mr Kagu is a Business Administration graduate specialising in Banking and Finance from Bunia, Democratic Republic of Congo. Beyond his academic excellence, he is an exemplary leader, philanthropist, and cultural ambassador. As a member of the Congolese Students Association in Uganda and a co-founder of the IUEA French Club, he has fostered community and cultural appreciation among francophone and non-francophone students alike.

His leadership as head of the IUEA Electoral Commission underscores his integrity and dedication to helping others thrive. Constantin’s multifaceted contributions exemplify the values IUEA instils in its students: excellence, compassion, and cultural inclusivity.
