Currently, Mr. Solomon Opio is working with the Innovation Village as the Technology Community Manager to build the technology ecosystem in Uganda through training programs, providing job linkages to technologists in Uganda. He is a co-founder at Soltech Digital Solutions a technology company, with an initiative, the Binary Garage that supports techies and startups through skilling, to enable them to build their products for the right market.

Mr. Solomon Opio reigns as the Uganda Country Lead for Startup Africa Roadtrip, a project born in 2017 with the mission of discovering the East African local ecosystem and sharing professional skills in the fields of digital marketing and venture capital. He has worked for Outbox Technology Hub as a Community Manager and Capacity Development Lead respectively, in charge of training and other activities geared towards growth, skill development for the developer community, start-ups, and industry players.

He is the Google Cloud Developer Community Lead for Kampala, in charge of programs, training, other events and initiatives around Google Cloud technologies in Kampala.
